The Dress

A mikado silk, square neck dress with an overskirt. The overskirt has a simple, but secure claps at the front. There is a simple pleated belt that comes with the dress to add an interesting detail and hide the clasp, but dress can be worn without. I was undecided about wearing the belt until the morning of my wedding, it was a nice finishing touch and I liked having the option.
The overskirt is full and gives that fun, elegant ballgown feel. For the first dance and dancing for the rest of the night, I removed the overskirt. The main dress is straight from top to bottom. I added a slit to the dress, just above the knee for a bit of fun. You can see a slight bit of leg and shoe when you walk with the overskirt. It gives a really nice layering feel.
The dress has a sown in bra but that can be easily removed.

Dress has been professionally dry cleaned and there are no marks or stains on it.

Satin trim veil is also available to purchase with the dress.

Alterations

The dress was more A line originally but I got it tapered in as I wanted the dress more straight. I added in a slit on the left, just above the knee.
