I tried on nearly 100 dresses. This was the one (!) and for so many reasons. The overskirt was my top priority on my list of dreams for my wedding dress. At the time, it was extremely hard to find. When I tried it on it fit nearly perfectly so lucky for me (and you) minimal alterations were needed. Not only did I love that I could walk down the aisle with the cathedral train behind me making me feel elegant but I loved that when it was time to dance I didn’t have to bustle the dress, I simply took the skirt off revealing a flattering, synched to the side (extra flattering so the fabric wasn’t tight around my stomach) fit and flare dress with a leg slit. I didn’t always know I wanted a strapless gown but this neckline was so beautiful and I didn’t worry at all about it sliding down. Both the skirt and dress have buttons down the back and the skirt has pockets that were handy for my first look letter and tissues. The fabric is Matte Mikado. Both the dress and skirt have been professionally dry cleaned (for over $500!). Asking $2500 for both.

It sat right where I wanted it on my waist so it didn’t need to come in at all
I’m 5’9” and wore 4” heels down the aisle so had no need to hem it either
I made two changes to the dress: I hemmed it so I wouldn’t trip over it when I changed into the 2” heelsand I brought the bust in slightly adding built-in pads (b cup)
