Laure de Sagazan, Custom Made - Pereire skirt, Attar top

This was a magic dress!

I love the top + skirt look, but realised that it was impractical when dancing (hands up!) and difficult to find a delicate top that didn’t show the bra underneath. This dress has the look of a top + skirt, without the impracticalities that go with it!

It is a custom made Laure de Sagazan dress. The original is called Pereire, but I swapped the top to their Attar model. The original Attar sleeves were straight, but we customised them to flare at the end - a first according to the Laure de Sagazan seamstress.

The top is sewn to the dress, with a thin mesh underneath, that hides underwear and keeps the dress looking perfectly neat.

The top is made from Calais lace, and the skirt is the softest, lightest silk. It drapes perfectly thanks to two neat pinches of fabric that fall right in the middle.

The top buttons up at the back in a straight line straight to bottom, with small pearl buttons. The skirt continues the line of identical buttons (7), the length of the zip.

There is a small train which can be hooked up for the dress to fall evenly, skimming the feet.

The dress is one of kind, and has a discreet 70s feel thanks to the lace pattern and bell sleeves.

The dress was made to my exact measurements in the Paris studio (4 sessions).

It was dry cleaned professionally and looks like new again.
