The Dress

I was really looking for something a little different in a wedding dress, and Dune by Madi Lane really ticks that box. The floral lace is really unique and features large detailed irises and other flowers and leaves. The illusion bodice is unlined and has built-in cups, spaghetti straps, and a deep V neckline; I loved that it felt very secure on me when worn. The dress has a low scoop back that is super elegant and also has small fabric-covered buttons. The A-line silhouette is very flattering, and the bodice flows seamlessly into the skirt. The skirt is so airy and fun. It's light and has great movement - it was THE BEST to dance and twirl in. The dress is very comfortable, especially because of the soft and silky charmeuse lining in the skirt. The dramatic effect of the gorgeous 30" train is really special. The lace detail continues all the way down the train, and the outline of leaves and petals creates an asymmetrical hem. The lining of the dress is in the shade mocha, and the tulle/lace overlay is in ivory. I had a romantic French bustle added to the train for dancing and ease of movement at the reception.

Alterations

- Bodice taken in slightly at seam to better fit bust and waist measurements
- Skirt hemmed to floor length in the front (5'6'" + flats)
- Added French bustle

For ease of future alterations, my tailor did not remove any fabric from the dress.
