The result was a timeless, two-in-one moment that completely surprised my husband. The base gown was so comfortable—I danced and sat with ease. The overskirt adds volume and elegance without feeling heavy (it’s 6.5 lbs but beautifully balanced when worn). The skirt fabric is versatile: it could be repurposed into a second dress, veil, cape, shawl, or even heirloom items like a baptism gown or table runner. Professionally dry cleaned and packed in an heirloom box with a display panel—ready for its next bride.
Alterations
A lovely $100 belt was added on for a little bling; the seamstress also added hook and eyes around the waist of the dress to hold the overskirt/train.
