The Dress

This dress started with an off-the-rack size 6 David's Bridal gown (https://www.davidsbridal.com/product/halter-tulle-wedding-gown-with-tiered-skirt-wg4050?defining_color=361). I then worked with an alterations specialist to create a custom tulle overlay. The tulle is a light champagne color with soft pink undertones.

The base dress was not altered at all. It fits just like the DB dress size 6 (link above). The overlay is attached to the dress. It is not removable without a seamstress. There is a custom 6-pt bustle that follows the tiered hemlines. It creates a lovely, slightly Victorian shape with a high neckline and custom ruffle collar.

I loved this dress. It was the perfect "forest fairy" vibe I was looking for. It was also very comfortable. The measurements provided are the ones listed on the DB website, but I am a 36C in the bust and found this dress a little bit roomy in the top. There's lots of room in the hips. The waist was fitted, but not uncomfortably so.

This was an outdoor wedding, but the dress was taken to the cleaners immediately afterward. There are very slight signs of wear along the inside of the inner lining, but no major staining or tears in the tulle. It's really in great condition! I hope it can be someone else's dream dress!
