The Dress

This dress was so beautiful and my absolute dream dress! I felt so good on the big day especially with the alterations from the seamstress listed below such as needing a bit more breast support than the dress originally offered. The details are gorgeous from the buttons on the back to the trumpet lace finish on the train! Eddy K is known for his lace detailing and was in fact a lace designer before designing wedding dresses.

Alterations

Dress has been taken in from the dress size 20 as I’d lost quite a bit of weight in the months it was being made. The seamstress added in a few more lace elements to the front and lower back netting to make sure no alternation points were visible.

I also had the seamstress add in a bracelet to hold the train in the evening and well as a hook in the back to leave me hands free in the evening.

I asked the seamstress to remove the original cups in the bodice as they weren’t supportive enough - she replaced these with cups with a bit more push up effect. She also added in an extra boning on each side of the body to give more breast support. This worked brilliantly.
