Very standard alterations. I had the dress taken in to fit me. I was in between a size 10 and 6 and we sized up to make sure alterations would be easy. I had it hemmed and added a simple bustle.
I'm 5'7 and wore 2 inch heels so it is still pretty long and there's room to hem it more if your shorter.
