I personally wanted a dress that I was comfortable wearing all day (with no bridal party carrying my train around) so I had the long train shortened to being a regular full length dress with a small trail out the back. This meant it kept a beautiful A-line silhouette, but I didn't need to drag a heavy dress around or need to bustle it for the reception.
Many people also commented on how unique the embroidery is, so I am sure you will love it!

The original dress has a large train. I had this altered to only have a small train so I didn't need to bustle it up for the reception or drag it around all day!
