The Dress
The dress was made by a local dressmaker.
I designed the dress myself from a picture.not exactly like the picture but similar'.
"Lady Diana Spencer "style was in fashion at the time.Wedding was in December in Sydney so it was summertime.
Fabric is white taffeta.short puffed sleeves come to about elbow length.organza around the neckline.
Long train, about 2 metres can be shortened..was never meant to be that long in the first place!
Lace around the shoulders and neckline, scalloped pattern.
Around the bottom the lace is scalloped in a ruffled manner right around the base of the dress.
Petticoat with stiffening included.
veil included if required.
Please note body measurements are a guess as I was 31 yrs old when I wore the dress and now 68 yrs old.
I was generally a size 8- 10 in casual clothing.I was small around the waist and small in the bust.,so listed the dress as a size 8.
There is no label but the it was made by local dressmaker in Beecroft nsw 2119.
