The Dress
Lace bodice and tulle skirt. Horsehair at the end of each layer, which adds body and dimension. Long, cascading train with a 5 point bustle. One of the bustle hooks came loose but it should be an easy fix for a seamstress. Has some scuffing from wear; dry cleaning should correct that to be like new. Changed straps and removed layers for comfort. Since the dress has many layers, the weight was pulling down by the straps. After they were changed and the alterations were made, the dress felt almost weightless!
I am not one to dress up but this dress made me feel like a princess. I hope it can bring someone else the same confidence as it did for me.
Will include the veil for no cost.
Alterations
- Trimmed the cups to fit size D
- Hemmed the bottom to accommodate my height
- changed the straps from the original to more comfortable straps
- removed 2 layers of thick tulle for comfort (too heavy & hot)
