The Dress

The dress features a mocha coloured silky underlay, with layers of white embroidered tulle. The floral embroidery features sequins to add a bit of shimmer to the dress. The straps are illusion, giving an almost backless and strapless look, but with more support. It has a beautiful round train that does not add too much length, but creates a beautiful fanned look to the base of the dress.

As someone with a paler complexion, the dress was perfect as it was not too white as to wash out my skin tone, it complemented beautifully, but with enough white tulle and embroidery to give me that real white dress feeling. I wore the dress for the duration of my wedding and did not need to bustle the dress or change to last through the reception and dancing.

I have retained the certificate of authenticity and the dry cleaner mentioned that the dress was in great condition when I took it to him, and that it came up beautifully, so I believe it would be in perfect condition for someone else. I really enjoyed wearing Halani for my wedding day and hope another bride can have the same experience, for a secondhand price.

Alterations

Length - I am 161cm tall (172cm with heels) so length removed from the standard length was 7 inches
Straps - shoulder straps slightly shortened (by about an inch)
Bodice - brought in so it is closer to a size 16
