The Dress

This dress is so flattering, it clings to give you curves in the bust and waist but flows to skim over your hips for a beautiful silhouette. And, with the low cut back it is just as beautiful from behind.

The illusion bodice is embellished with pretty beaded lace in a floral design and cap sleeves. An English net skirt keeps it soft and comfortable. There is a full lining to the skirt to stop the tulle itching and keep it sitting flat throughout the day.

It secures with a zip in the centre back of the skirt and then several small buttons and loops in the centre back bodice.

I have marked the condition as "good" rather than "excellent" as it has been worn for a day so will not be perfect. There is no obvious wear and tear and it has been professionally dry cleaned.

This was such a fun and elegant dress to wear - I am so excited for the next person that gets to enjoy it!

Alterations

The brilliant Jacqueline Byrne who has years of experience carefully carried out the following alterations:

Small loops were sewn on the inside of each shoulder so that there is the option of tying a ribbon across the back, from shoulder to shoulder, however the dress stayed in place all day and night and I did not have to use this. The ribbon will be included with the dress should you wish to use this.

Two small loops were stitched in the centre back of the netting so that the tail can be tied up to make it easier for dancing. The ribbon will be included with the dress should you wish to use this.

Some additional boning was put in the bodice to create stability and a beautiful silhouette. It was not hard though and still comfortable to wear all day, it just meant the dress stayed in place.

The length of the dress was shortened for my height (177cm with heels, I am 170cm without heels).

Bodice fitted. I have a 36F bust (UK) and 92cm waist. Due to the lace fabric it could be altered again by stretching or taking it in.
