The Dress

I felt like the perfect mix of sexy, classic and cute in this made to order Alexandra Grecco dress. I had gone into Dress Theory (San Diego) looking for a different style, but as soon as I tried this on, I was sold. The refined style and silhouette of this dress really makes the wearer shine- and is just incredibly flattering.

The cut of the dress is a timeless and elegant shape, and the fall of the silk fabric perfectly emphasizes curves. I especially loved the hand embroidered illusion sheer top with the floral applique (looks like poppies!), because it added that fun and whimsical feel without being over powering. The beading gives a very subtle sparkle. The sheer slit was also a favorite, and it has the matching floral applique as the top.

This dress size was an 8, but I had it altered smaller because I love a form fitting look for this dress- I wanted my hips and booty to have a *moment*! At the time of wear, I was 34C, 125 pounds, fit into a size 2-4 pants/dress. There is a small amount of fabric where it could *possibly* be taken out a quarter inch. Alterations were done by a top-rated San Diego alterer (Kat Krafel). Hemmed (actual height 5'4", but worer 3.5 inch loeffler randall camelia shoes- so 5'7") and bustle already added, bra cups are included in dress for a subtle lift (can be removed), and the sheer bodice is double lined (more of an opaque look)

Taken to a top Wedding dress cleaner in San Diego- Veribest Cleaners (sustainable green cleaning), and is in near perfect condition- no stains or tears. Just very slight wear on the bottom of the train.

Alterations

Straps taken up, closer to underarm area, taken in on sides to fit form, taken in at hips to accentuate booty, hemmed, and bustle added. Cups with a slight push up added, but can be removed.
