The Dress
I wore this dress for my wedding last year in October (2022). I chose this dress because the neckline and back were very flattering. I also was not interested in having many embellishments on the dress, so the textured material added some dimension that I was hoping for. The edge of the dress also matches nicely with the simple, mid-back length veil edging.
I had the dress dry-cleaned and preserved in a David's Bridal preservation kit. The dress came back certified in good, clean condition.
Alterations
The dress was originally a size 6. I am 5' 7" and about 150lbs. I had the bodice of the dress tightened a bit to fit more snuggly, and had the slit closed up a bit, as it was originally pretty high up my leg. I also had the dress shortened (mostly in the front as it has a short train) to barely brush the ground when I was wearing my 2" heals. Lastly, I had a couple buttons and loops added to be able to bustle the dress in an American bustle style.
