Sizing: I am always a size small and UK 8, USA 2-4, and tried both the small and medium and the medium was the best fit.
Alterations
It was lightly altered professionally for 200 Euro in Milan to be a bit tighter so it is a true small size now. I am 5'3" and was wearing kitten heels and the dress still hit the ground perfectly.
