The Dress
This dress was purchased for a wedding ceremony to be held abroad but due to COVID, it was cancelled and a wedding was only held in the States with a different dress. Happily married so no bad vibes. Layers of tulle with horse hair to create flounce.
Alterations
For modesty, dress was modified by adding a sheer jacket and applying matching appliques. Jacket could be removed by a seamstress. Sparkly trim belt was added to drop waist but easily removed. A few sequins were added to outer layer appliques for sparkle. It was shortened to accommodate 5'4' bride with 3 inch heels. Buttons were added to the base dress in the back and to the jacket to create an illusion of full button neck to waist.
