The Dress

This beautiful wedding gown is from the Berta Couture Napoli collection style 20-101. I fell in love with this particular Berta style because of how stunning the sparkle is! It dazzled brilliantly with flash photography and at night under the reception lights!I Photos don’t quite do it justice. I also loved the illusion lace corset back, sexy off the shoulder straps, and dramatic train. The elastic straps can be worn on or off the shoulder. I wore them mostly down. Then, put them on my shoulders for dancing so that I felt secure. This gown is a size 42. According to the Berta size chart measurements, size 42 fits bust- 37.7 waist -29.1 and hips -39.3. My bridal consultant explained that Berta gowns look so good on everyone because of the built in shaping garment. The dress is a stretchy material that molds your body. Because of this, the sizing somewhat versatile depending on if you want a looser or tighter fit. I lost some weight before my wedding, and was a bit smaller than the size chart measurements. I opted for no bodice alterations so that I would have some room to sit down/ eat comfortably. The only alteration made was hemming the dress, and adding an American bustle. Hemmed for height of 5’10. I am 5’6 and was wearing 4in heels. The gown is in beautiful condition , and has been cleaned by the wedding gown preservation company. It is just as beautiful now as it was on the wedding day. I felt incredible in this dress and am so glad that I decided to splurge on it. Wearing it was a dream come true! There was nothing else that compared to it at a lower price. I hope someone else get to enjoy it, and feel as beautiful as I did wearing it. For more photos see my ig @ jilowery
