The Dress

My dream wedding dress that I was unable to wear for my wedding due to falling pregnant 5 months before my big day!

I found out I was pregnant December 1st, 2022, and my wedding was April 29, 2023. Once I found out I was pregnant I went to a seamstress who told me she could still make the dress work, but that It would basically require putting a whole new bottom on the dress and only using the top from the original. I decided to not do any alterations to the dress and bought a maternity gown that would fit my 25 week bump for my wedding instead. This dress is just too beautiful to have completely altered it. I was very sad to not have been able to wear this dress on wedding day, it was truly my dream dress. Simple, elegant, and modern!

With all this in mind, the dress has never been worn besides trying it on one time when it first arrived to the boutique after ordering it (pre-pregnancy). It has been sitting in my closet in a protective garment bag and is brand new with the tags still on it!

*Photos of me in the dress are from the sample dress that the boutique had from the day I tried it on and decided to order it. I did not take photos again because I was thinking I would be doing alterations and then wearing it on my wedding day... :(
