The Dress

I absolutely loved this dress! It is an Essense of Australia, style D3249. The color is Ivory lace over a "rum" colored lining per the designer, but I would describe it as more of a neutral / "champagne" color. This really just makes the lace details pop while still having an all white feel. It has beautiful beaded accents over the lace pattern and a sparkly sheer layer that give it so much sparkle (my favorite part)! The neck line is a deep V with mesh covering the lower portion, which gave it a very sexy feel without being too revealing. The space below the armpit has a mesh inlay which also adds some sexiness and a more fitted feel (and also means there's no scratchy beading under the arms). The shape is mostly fitted with a little flair just below the butt, which is super flattering and fun. The back is open with a cute beaded crossing strap detail. The adorable buttons go all the way down the back to the end of the train (another favorite detail - they were not too hard to button, just get a type G crochet hook for $1 on Amazon). The train was the perfect length with gorgeous lace detail, where you can really see the sparkle!!

Alterations

The dress was brought in quite a bit in the waist, padding was added to the bust, and it was hemmed. Some of the bustle buttons did come off and these would need to be replaced if you plan on bustling. I am 5'6'', 140lbs, and typically wear a size 6 dress and a 34 or 36B bra (although I definitely had space in the bust area, I think think this is more like a C cup).
