About the Dress

This is a stunning, elegant wedding dress made from 100% ivory silk, and is fully lined. It is strapless, with a ruched elongated bodice, with a full circle skirt.
This Monique Lhuillier Bliss wedding gown was purchased for $2700 at Kleinfeld Bridal in Manhattan, and an additional $600 was spent on alterations made by a skilled, on-site Kleinfeld master seamstress. The gown is a size 8. After all alterations were made, I would say it fits more like a size 4.
This wedding gown was extremely comfortable to wear. It has interior supportive boning, and the seamstress added a waist stay, keeping the gown in place, no shifting, so you can enjoy your special day knowing your dress stays exactly where it is meant to. Lingerie straps were also added to secure a strapless bra inside if you choose to wear one.
For reference, I am 5’8”, weight 120 pounds. the shoes I wore had a 2.5” heel.
I wore this dress for a total of 7 hours. Afterwards it was professionally cleaned by a certified wedding gown specialist. The gown has been kept in an air-tight sealed garment bag in a climate controlled closet
I wear a size 6 in J. Crew and Banana Republic dresses and tops, a size 27 in AG Goldschmidt Farrah high waist jeans.

The bustle consists of three discreet satin buttons and small loop holes, elegantly lifting the train of the gown. The color of the gown is ivory.

Alterations

The dress has interior boning & Kleinfeld professional seamstress added a waist stay and lingerie
The seamstress added three hidden satin buttons and loop holes for a simply elegant bustle.
I purchased a size 8 gown, and after alterations were made to have it fit closer to my torso, it fit more like a size 4.
