The Dress

I first spotted this dress on instagram and immediately loved it for it timeless elegance. The Prea James Mira dress is simple and sophisticated, with the perfect amount of sexiness with the side split and low back (I had mine lowered a little extra..!).

It was important to me that I felt I would look back on wedding photos in years to come and still love my dress and the Mira was the perfect fit. It was also so comfortable, the right combination of fitted and flowy.

It was hand made in the Prea James Paddington Atelier, it's high quality expensive silk with quality finishes and I received so many compliments. My dress also has the optional upgrade to silk lining.

The dress was purchased in 2020, but I wore it Nov 23 due to Covid cancellations. Mira is their signature dress and still made in their Atelier today.

I wore the dress for the ceremony and cocktail hour, but took her off for the dance floor. It's in fantastic near perfect condition - with no stains, pulls or marks. I have had it professionally dry cleaned, and always stored in its original bag.

Alterations

Alterations have been made to suit my measurements as they changed a little between original purchase and wearing it 3 years later:
It best fits a size 6

- hem taken up
- waist and hips taken in
- back lowered
- french bustle and loop added
- removable cups inserted
- side boning added by Prea for additional support to my bust
