The Dress

This dress was comfortable to sit, stand, breathe!, walk and dance in! It photographed beautifully. Very easy to accessorize. I never worried about it falling, catching on anything, or being stepped on. I wore sparkly flats for the ceremony and sequinned sneakers for the dancing, and it went great with both.

TECHNICAL DETAILS: It's a stretch silk blend, off-white, strapless dress made by Newhite in LA. It has boning in the top with an asymmetrical ruffle across the bust. There's an invisible zipper to pull it together in centre-back. It's hemmed to floor length. The train is shortish, but I could hold it with my hand. The fabric is lovely to feel and has a bit of stretch.

CONDITION: I wore it for the day [removed], and had it professionally drycleaned; there are no stains or marks. There are no pulls or damage - there's slight texturing of the fabric on the ruffle. I did have a bustle put in for dancing which fell out so that would need either replacing or trimming.

Alterations

The dress came in a 12 and was professionally altered to fit my size 8 top. The original straight-across back was slightly curved deeper. The dress was hemmed to floor length - I am 5'10 with shoes.
