The Dress

The beautiful ‘Remi’ dress by MWL.

I knew I wanted something fitted but forgiving for my destination wedding in Cape Town and the Remi really did live up to that brief and more.
The dress is constructed using 3D floral lace with a Chantilly pebble lace underlay.
Subtle, flattering V neckline and delicate petals along her elegant straps and detectable belt for the perfect finishing touches.
Low back and a long train that felt secure all day long.

The dress fit so perfectly as it has quite a lot of stretch to the material which meant it was easy to sit and dance in which is SO important on your wedding day. It also was fitted but not sheer.

The dress was purchased in February 2022 (delivered in August 22) from the Made With Love Boutique in Bermondsey, London ahead of my October wedding so I did pay a rush fee.
The dress was made with split sizing so that meant less alterations were needed when the dress arrived from Australia.
I used their recommended tailor Cherry Williams who is also based in the same building as the MWL boutique. I had the hem and strap length reduced and a bustle added but no other alterations. I would highly recommend using Cherry if you need any further alterations. She works with MWL dresses all day everyday so you’re in safe hands.
The dress was dry cleaned by Johnson’s on my return (I have attached the receipt). The outside of the dress looks pretty immaculate. For full disclosure there are hem marks (which I have taken picture of) still left behind but these aren’t visible due to the underlay and long train but I want to be as accurate when describing the dress as possible.
The dress was only been worn the day of my wedding and otherwise has been stored in a box with the dress wrapped in tissue paper since it came back from the dry cleaners.
I have also kept the original box, bag and dress cover bag which I would also include free as part of the purchase as it’s lovely to have all the elements of purchasing a MWL dress.
I loved wearing Remi for my wedding day and I would love to see the dress go to another lucky bride.
