Lucy Martin

My wedding dress, worn for my wedding in Spain in summer 2021, was beautifully handmade in London by the wonderful Lucy Martin Bridal. Her two piece 'Alice' dress features an underlying silk satin / silk chiffon dress, and a separate, beautifully crafted lace bolero with hand-sewn silk buttons on the back that can be layered on top. What I love about this dress is it not only looks beautiful - down to every last detail - but it was so comfortable to wear on my wedding day - even through to all the dancing! I got so many wonderful comments on it on the day.

The dress had cup inserts, which I have removed for now but new cup inserts can be stitched back in using the material inserts that are still there.

An important note: I had the dress dry cleaned to the very highest standard, but there are some very light marks on the back of the dress (bottom - train - which was in contact with the ground) and some signs of wear on the outermost satin layer (again right at the bottom / back). As I am quite tall (5 ft 10 in) I think this dress would be perfect for someone who is a bit shorter and would want it taken up e.g. 2 inches when it should look as good as new!
