The Dress
The bodice is actually a bodysuit so I could switch into pants for the reception.
Bodysuit is lace with ivory satin lining the front and there are built in pads for breasts. The back of the bodysuit is just lace and buttons. I had the bottom altered so the butt is more comfortable material but won't affect the look when you have bottoms on.
Skirt is 5 layers of tulle with lining. The second from the top layer is light grey, all other tulle layers are black. Satin ribbon was added around the waist line for a bow to be tied in the back. Thin satin ribbon lining top layers where train meets skirt.
Alterations
The bottom of the bodysuit was replaced with a different fabric for more comfort.
The first tailor I went to cut off my train so I had another tailor reattach it and add ribbon on top to make it look purposeful.
