The Dress

I love this dress - it felt comfortable all day (it's super lightweight with soft flexible material) but also stunning (the intricate lace back received many compliments on my wedding day). It's a fit and flare dress with a beautiful sheer lace overlay, scalloped straps and a flattering train, along with gorgeous sheer lace illusion back and sides. The effect is so beautiful and really adds to the intrigue of the dress. I purchased it from a lovely bridal boutique in Kent at full price.

Condition
I have worn this dress once! I have not dry cleaned it, and so have already reduced the price accordingly (note that it only has slight signs of wear - I had a beautiful sunny day for my wedding - but I am assuming most brides would want it to be dry-cleaned for their day, and hence have knocked down my price to accommodate).

Furthermore one of the sheer side seams came apart on the day, 3.5cm long. It will be an easy odd-job for any good seamstress, but I want to be transparent (and yes, I have reduced the price for what I was quoted to fix this too).

Note that I am not selling my veil which you can see slightly in one of the pics.

Alterations

I have larger boobs (30G), and a fairly small body so I ordered a UK size 14 dress to ensure the built in cups were big enough. My seamstress then reduced all the dress measurements to be a UK size 12. Therefore all that differs from a usual UK size 12 dress is the cup size. Note that seamstresses can replace these with separate cups of the size you need anyway (in fact mine added in secondary cups to give me extra lift on the day). The length fit me perfectly - I am 5 foot 6 inches and wore 2.5 inch heels. I also added boning across the stomach (which is not visible to the eye!) to make sure the dress didn't crumple in photos if I bent over slightly. This didn't affect comfort at all and worked really well on the day, but would also be super easy to remove should you wish. Finally, I also had a simple bustle added (see final pic) to give me the choice of having the train up or down. This made dancing in the evening a breeze. Although I will say never had a problem walking in my dress the whole day, which was a novelty compared to many dresses I tried!
