The Dress

This is a beautiful Sassi Holford Amelia dress brought for £2700. The material is silk with multiple layers. The top layer has a subtle rose pattern on (as seen in pictures). The dress comes in at the waist with a silk ribbon. The dress has a V neckline front and back with silk buttons down the back. The dress comes with a hook to bustle the dress either on wrist or to tie the train to a button at the back. I loved wearing this dress it was so comfy and light weight!

I’m 5ft 11 and wore 1.5 inch shoes on the day. This dress is therefore currently the length for a 6ft bride. Most will probably need the dress shortening - there are a couple of small tears at the very bottom of the dress (see last photo) this won’t be an issue if you need the dress shortening.

I had the dress altered which included shortening and bringing the waist in slightly. I know an amazing seamstress who works wonders who I can recommend.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and comes in original Sassi Holford Carey bag.

Alterations

Shortened from original length (current length suitable for bride around 6ft)
Brought in around waist
Slight tightening of straps to ensure they didn’t fall down
Seamstress added boob cups which can easily be removed
