The Dress

A beautiful French lace wedding dress from Cymbeline’s 2009 collection. Stunning tiered pale ivory lace with a satin waist band in the same colour that ties at the back or can be wrapped around again to tie at the front in a shorter bow, which is how I wore it. Hasn’t been dry cleaned but is in very good condition - the hemline is a little marked from the dancing (see photo) but should come up a treat with a dry clean as the marking is pretty minimal on the lace, while it’s a bit more visible on the inner two layers (again, see final photo). The bodice is lightly boned and the dress has a zip back which makes it extremely flattering yet very comfortable to wear. It really is a gorgeous dress and I felt beautiful wearing it. It may have been designed in 2009 but it would still look amazing and elegant for a modern wedding. The lace is incredibly pretty with polka dots and then more traditional edging. The small and elegant train can be tied up inside to shorten it for dancing. It is a French size 34 and would fit a UK 6. I am 5ft 3” and wore 3” heels on my wedding day. The third photo is of a model wearing the dress as it’s better quality and easier to see the detail and shape than in my photos! I marked fit and flare as the style but it doesn’t flare too much, though is not straight either. Happy to answer any questions you may have about this lovely dress.
