The Dress

Recently purchased this gown from another bride here on still white for my 2023 wedding, but just found out my fiancé’s job will have us moving across the country, so we will be postponing and completely changing our wedding plans, and this pretty dress is ready to be worn! The previous bride wore the dress this past fall 2022 for her ceremony and changed into a reception dress. She had the gown dry cleaned and preserved. I removed the gown from the preservation box to try on once, and it’s been stored back in the preservation box since. I paid $6,200 plus shipping costs.
Here is a note from the original owner on the customizations she had done and other specs on the dress:
This gorgeous MAYA gown has an additional 12" of train length compared to the sample model, it was customized and added by Galia Lahav studio. The dress was fitted to my measurements above, and the waist was taken in but has the extra fabric inside in case it needed to be re-adjusted to a bigger size. The alterations were made with keeping in mind that the dress was going to be re-homed. A Galia Lahav alterations specialist added boning in the waist and back to give it the “va-va-voom” lift in the bust and to really keep in the waist line and accentuate the curves. She added two layers of spanx material on the whole sides so it wasn’t completely sheer. We chose the fabric to look skin-like and it can also be easily removed if desired. I also had her make the straps removable so you can ultimately wear this gown strapless, off the shoulder, or spaghetti strap style. There is a French bustle added already. This dress has been professionally dry cleaned and preserved with the minor signs of wear being repaired. The galia label inside has been cut through alterations. There are added customizations to this dress. There may be some signs of wear given this has been worn. Described to the best of my abilities.
Overall, the dress cost $10,800 with an added $1,200 for the longer train.
Alterations was around $2,000.
