Vera Wang Haute Couture Bridal Gown - Olivia D, Look 25 from Fall 2021.

Ivory strapless silk faille ballgown with a kidney shaped neckline and a hand pleated skirt accented by a high front slit.

The gown was originally intended to be a beautiful lavender. Luckily, VW decided to offer it in ivory for more traditional brides.

The dress is in almost perfect condition. I say “almost” because it was worn by me.

The dress has a bustle already built in. It looks like taffeta but it’s silk! The way it feels against your body is yummy and luxurious. It’s also so comfortable. And because they made the dress to measure, the propositions make every body look stunning.

Olivia is a modern play on a classic gown. I chose it because it is a beautiful gown with such lovely details throughout. The hand-sewn pleats are so different from the usual pleats seen in bridal gowns. The high slit is a fun surprise. You feel like a cool bride. The dress may seem simple, but it isn’t. It’s a minimal and modern play on a ballgown, and is edgy in it’s own way. The train follows you like a waterfall as it doesn’t fan out like traditional gowns do making that big half circle.

It’s unique and absolutely chic! You certainly feel like the cool and modern bride in it. It was literally a dream dress! It was my minimal luxury dream come true.

Best thing is that it’s already made! Vera Wang takes about 6-8 months. I paid a rush fee and even with that, I only finished with alterations a week before the wedding.

You can style however you want. I chose to do a headband, gloves and a cathedral length veil. It was epic!

**The dress retails for $8,800, but because I have a larger bust, they had to make a made-to-measure bodice. This added $1,760 to the total cost not including tax.**
