The Dress

The back of the dress is absolutely stunning! The dress is in ivory with a light gold underlining. The inner fabric does look more pink, but it does come out more yellow once worn and in pictures. The dress has been been shortened and a bustle was added so it can be worn comfortably throughout the reception, including dancing! The dress has been purchased for a sunny, fall ’22 wedding. The dress has been professionally cleaned and preserved (in a box) using eco-friendly methods.

The designer size chart has the waist at 23.5”. However, with the sheer back, there is a bit more give in the waist area. My waist was measured to be 24.25” at the bridal store, but I did not size up. The dress top fit perfectly so I did not need to alter the top.

Alterations

1. The dress has been shortened so that I can walk and dance comfortably. I am 5’4” and my shoes were 1.75” tall.
2. 2-part bustle was added to the dress (very easy to bustle). You first bustle the inner fabric, and then bustle the tulle layers. One layer has 2 hooks to hook onto and the other layer has 2 buttons to loop over.
