The Dress
The top of this dress is a mix of sheer lace, with a high boat neck and buttons up the back. It is structured with built-in boning and cups, and there is no additional lining on the top. The bottom of this dress is layers of chiffon that drape nicely but flow lightly. There is a long train with buttons and loops for a traditional bustle.
I fell in love with this dress when I tried it on at a local shop in Vermont, and couldn't find it anywhere online. It's simple but intricate, and I felt comfortable and beautiful for my summer wedding. The dress is in excellent condition, with no visible wear or stains. It was just dry-cleaned and pressed. I was very happy with it.
Alterations
I had it hemmed for my height (5'4" plus 2" heals), swapped out the built-in cups for greater coverage, and added a piece of boning to prevent bunching in the back. I also added the traditional bustle.
