The Dress

I love my wedding dress and I really hope it can make someone feel as happy as I did in it! It was bought in 2019 for our planned 2020 wedding. We had to postpone and so it was eventually worn in 2021!

It was an incredibly comfortable dress to wear, especially owing to alterations made (see detail below). Following the alterations it fitted exactly to my shape. If you look at the dress on the Justin Alexander website you may notice that the train is not quite as long. I wanted to shorten the train, which worked really well for the dress and for our venue.

It has only been worn once, on the wedding day, and since then I've had it dry cleaned by a professional wedding dress cleaners. I was so happy with the result and can't see any issues with it. I've included some pictures from our wedding day, and then the ones of just the dress have been taken after dry cleaning.

Alterations

Length taken from the train. Length taken from the front to make right for my height (with my wedding shoes). Taken in at the waist. Taken in at the side under my arms. 2 cups added at the bust to provide support.
