The Dress

This dress was purchased in 2022 from Janene’s Bridal in Alameda , CA. It is brand new, never been worn except to try on, and never been altered. I am 5,8”, about 190 lbs, with a curvy hourglass body shape. My breast size is 38 DDD. The dress I tried on in store when I purchased it was a size 12, which zipped but was snug and did not fit my boobs at all. The dress I purchased is a size 18 (street size 16), which was done so so that the boob area would fit. I have made no alterations to it; the video is the one I sent to my mom to tell her what I was planning on doing to it, but it has the best overall description on how the dress was fitting my particular body type. I was planning on taking it way in up top and along the bodice, and possibly shortening the train which would be very easy to do since it is a raw edge hem. I was also planning on taking out the stiff tulle underskirt so it wasn’t so poofy, but that of course could be left up to the buyer. It is a gorgeous dress and surprisingly lightweight for how full it is. The sparkly layer underneath the outter tulle has a rose pattern on it. It is absolutely beautiful. The reason I am wanting to sell it is because my mom thinks I would look better in a more fitted gown to accentuate my curves and I have found a new dress that we both love more than this one. It breaks my heart a little bit to part with this beauty but I really hope it finds a new owner who will love it as much as I did the day I said yes!
