The Dress

I felt so beautiful in this dress on my wedding day. I’d love to hold onto it but space is an issue as it’s been professionally cleaned and boxed by wedding gown specialists to museum care preservation standards. So the box is big. And this dress deserves the spotlight again and to be seen and not covered in the back of my closet.
It has a bustle in the back where it can be lifted and button up to be floor length all around for walking and dancing, and easily unbuttoned again for photos and the ceremony. I purchased the extra lightweight hoop skirt to go inside of it to create the walking space inside so it doesn’t gather around your feet. The sale includes this as it really does fill out the skirt that much more and make it easy to walk in.
The colour of the skirt is ivory and although the receipt says the bodice is silver, I’d say it’s more of a vintage silver. So a little more on the champagne side.
It’s in excellent condition, except for a little bit of wear and tear along the very bottom of the train at the back that you don’t really notice as there is so much of it. There is so much organza that it blends in I would say.
Because of the nature of how it’s been boxed and the process (it cost me approx. $450/$500 to have it expertly cleaned and preserved, sealed and it comes with a no yellowing guarantee - different than just a basic dry clean), I don’t want to break the seal as I won’t be able to get the dress back in the same way that it’s been packed. I’m happy to provide whatever photos I can though and can provide a dress receipt. I purchased it at Amanda Lina’s Sposa Boutique in Vaughan and had it altered there as well.
The wedding was amazing and I’m happily married so no bad vibes come with this dress!

Alterations

Brought in at the waist, hemmed and altered at bust to avoid gaps. Bra cups were added into the bustier but removed when cleaned. Can be added again.
