The Dress

This is an Essence of Australia fit-and-flare wedding dress (original style: D3458) that has been customized (see notes on alterations).

I was initially drawn to the dress because of the gorgeous floral train, but I also fell in love with so many other details: the subtle sparkle in the beading and embroidery throughout the dress, the buttons all the way down the back of the dress, and the lightweight and airy nature of the crepe and lace combination. The dress flows beautifully when you walk! The crepe is lined and flattering. The top of the dress is made of tulle and fabric/lace appliques, with cap sleeves professionally added in alterations. I recommend adding some eyelash glue to the back fabric/lace appliques, which will keep them flat against your back until the end of the night.

I absolutely loved this dress and hope that someone else can make excellent memories wearing it too! It is in excellent condition and has been dry-cleaned after the wedding by a bridal specialist.

The only flaw: the bustle (a single sewn fabric loop) broke near the end of the night and would need to be replaced.

Alterations

Cap sleeves and back design were professionally, custom-made in alterations for a one-of-a-kind dress that looks beautiful from all angles! The tulle and appliques used for the sleeves and back design came directly from the designer so it all matches perfectly. Other alterations: Hemmed to 5'6" height (I am 5'4" and wore 2-inch heels), taken in at the bust (and cups added), and bustle added (although the single sewn loop that was used for the bustle broke near the end of the night and will need to be replaced).
