The Dress

The designer says: Thin vines of leafy lace trace the asymmetrical, illusion bodice of this princess gown, following the female contour in organic, flattering lines before floating down a puffy, tulle skirt.

I say: I set out looking for a simple, ankle-length dress but absolutely fell in love with this one! The lace and embroidery are nature-themed and the whole dress is just so elegant.

Signs of wear (reflected in the price):
-The dress was worn in a forest for photos and although the ground was dry the edge of the lace at the back of the train did pick up a bit of dirt which is shown in the bottom left of the last photo. It may well come out if dry-cleaned.
-The only other sign of wear on the outer layer is a small mark on the side of the skirt which is shown on the bottom right of the last photo. It is not noticable just looking at the dress without zooming in.
-Finally, the very bottom layer (there are 5 layers) is quite dirty at the bottom as shown in the top of the final photo. This is not visible at all even when walking around in the dress and again may well come out if dry-cleaned.

Alterations

This dress was fitted to me - my measurements are below. I am 171cm and wore 1inch platform sandals with it.

I had the breast pads removed as they were quite an unnatural colour (google the dress to see what I mean) and I just wore a stick on bra underneath which was far more subtle. The lady who altered it for me said she could very easily put pads back in if needed so this would be an easy alteration if you did want to change it back.

I also had a more sturdy ribbon loop added to replace the thin branded one under the skirt, plus a bustle added which was super useful on the day!!
