The Dress

I walked into Kleinfeld (as my first dress shop), not expecting to buy a dress, but fell in love with this first dress I tried on! It's effortlessly elegant and regal. The silk material adds weight to the occasion, but is surprisingly light and comfortable with some give. The front of the dress is clean and simple; the back side complements it with floral appliques, round buttons down the bottom, and an elegant train. Even though it's backless, I was still able to wear shapewear.

I had a magical day in this dress this summer, I'm hoping this dress can find its new owner who will show it off in style on her big day!

The veil is also from Kleinfeld for $495 + tax. Willing to entertain offers if you like the veil.

Alterations

I took in the sides of my dress to fit my bust and waist. I also hemmed the length of the dress to my height with the wedding shoes (5'5'' + 60mm heels). The dress has a bustle (as shown in the picture), but you can also hold up the train of the dress on your arm. The seamstress also added boning to the inside of the front-sides of the dress to hold the shape of the dress. The alterations cost around $850 (or more) in total.
