FINAL DEDUCTION BEFORE DONATION
From the Hayley Paige site: Ivory Mikado and tulle bridal ball gown, spaghetti strap bodice with deep sweetheart neckline, ivory net side cut out, cascading banded tulle skirt.
My thoughts:
This dress has so much movement and I felt both elegant and fun in it. The Mikado and tulle mix feels modern and whimsical at the same time, which I think is a hard combo not just to find, but then to get right. The dress is, simply put, beautiful.
Logistics:
I am 5'2 and wore 4-inch heels. I had an 18-point bustle added for dancing (see picture of fabric-covered buttons). The dress does need to be cleaned (the wedding was outside and there is some dirt on the bottom that I have not tried to remove) and there is some tearing on the innermost layer of tulle from dancing, which cannot be seen while worn.
Alterations
Altered for a height of 5'6" and an 18-point bustle added (see pictures). Also added a small panel of tulle to the chest which is easily removed.
