The Dress

The description on the Monique L'hulliier order form: Valencia Gown, Solid White Textured Silk, Pleated. The Valencia gown in full length, solid white is a showstopper. I purchased it directly from Monique L'hullier flagship store in May2022 (so it's a super new style!) on Madison Avenue New York.  I am 5'7 in height (1.7 metres) and I wore 3.5. inch heels. 

I can send more pics and videos on request if you want to take a closer look at it. I also welcome anyone to pop by (based in the West Village in Manhattan) and try it on for yourselves. I immediately got it dry cleaned after the wedding - excellent condition but a couple of small, faded grass marks at the bottom near the train can be seen on close inspection. With it being such a large dress, this is really not noticeable. It's a huge gown but it's lightweight and very airy so it's perfect for hot weather. The sleeves are detachable so you can have two different styles but I loved the sleeves (my favourite part of the dress!!) They are long (as I have long arms but can be shortened).

Alterations

The dress has been altered - made shorter but I am 170cm and I wore 3.5 inch heels so it's still very long. The Monique L'hullier in house alterations tailor added the possibility of being able to carry my train around my wrist. She added a very discreet method of tucking the train under and lifting it on the wrist.
