The Dress

This is a beautiful Rachel Gilbert dress that I wore for our wedding in New Zealand.

The dress was purchased directly from the Rachel Gilbert boutique in Paddington. I had the hemline shortened, but it is otherwise unaltered.

It's a very delicate, hand-beaded gown with a classic shape and a very elegant V-back. Invisible zip at the back of the gown. Timeless style. I received so many compliments!

Some images provided are from the fitting-ins in the boutique when I was trying on the size AU 10, so you will see it is a bit loose and definitely too long. I've included the designer's measurements, not my own.

This dress is so elegant, classic and stunning, The shape accentuates the womanly figure in a very tasteful manner. I loved wearing this for my wedding and would pick it again! It has been professionally dry cleaned after wearing. I can also include the veil and the dressing gown that I wore..

Despite being hand-beaded, the dress is not heavy and actually quite comfortable (for a wedding dress). The detail is beautiful and I love the elegant neckline.

Alterations

I had this dress taken up to fit me and my wedding shoes. I am 162 cm and my shoes for the day was 8cm.
