I am normally a size 6/7 (XS) in Aus sizing, with the boning I found that I had to size up to the S which is a proposed Aus size 8-10. I suggest trying another garment on from the designer if unsure, they are stocked in most David Jones/Myer stores. With any dress, it always is better to size up and then have any necessary alterations.
