The Dress

As someone who is both short and plus sized, I struggled to find a great dress, and this Justin Alexander Sincerity dress fit my curves perfectly. With heels, I am 5'6 and this dress just skimmed the ground. I haven't seen anything like it with the lace that trails down the front and the layers and layers of horsehair tulle.

My three favorite things about this dress are the off the shoulder sleeves, layers of tulle, and the bustle. The off the shoulder sleeves made for a great neckline and back. The tulle has lace appliqués scattered throughout and made for fantastic photos. Even though there is a lot of it, I never felt overwhelmed or lost in the dress. Lastly, I had a seamstress add the bustle and it looks like a complete different dress once you bustle it up! I loved having those two dresses in one. The first picture is with it bustled and the third is with the dress down.

The dress was professionally cleaned and preserved. They noted a small stain on the bottom of the dress but marked the dress in good condition.

Overall, I adore this dress but only wore it for a few hours (in Nov 2021) and would love for it to be used by someone else! I'm happy to provide more pictures so you can see the dress bustled and down from different angles!

Alterations

The dress was taken in in the waist and chest, so it is now between a 14 and a 16. A bustle was added.
