Berta Bridal, 19-02 Miami Collection

The most beautiful dress you will see in your life, as told to me by countless people. I purchased this from Vow's Bridal right outside of Boston. It was handmade and delivered from Israel where Berta is based in February 2022 for my wedding end of April 2022. I had it professionally dry cleaned. When purchasing I was told that this style is being discontinued thus no longer able to be ordered so don't miss out!

The size is a Berta 38 with my measurements provided above. The bust was quite a bit large on me, it is versatile as I was able to place cups inside to hold me up but there was still enough room for a bigger bust so this works for small and large breasted women. The bodice is corset style. Again, it fit me well but there was definitely room for a bigger waist. Because it is corset style it does a great job of staying up and not pulling down. For such a delicate looking dress I was stunned at how durable the lacework and off-the-shoulder straps held up. Perfect condition.

I had a highly reviewed bridal tailor in the business for 40 years work on the dress (Doris Couture). No alterations were done besides shortening it and adding a french bustle. I am 5'6" and wore 4 inch heels. I have heard nightmares about bustles falling apart during the wedding. I danced in it for a couple hours before my outfit change and the bustle held together beautifully. They are curtain ties.

It shimmers in person like nothing you have ever seen before. I was nervous about the bra portion and almost added fabric to it but ended up loving the look in person and thought it was just the right amount of modern flare with classic elegance.

Retails $12,500 and I paid over $1,000 to the tailor to shorten it and add the bustle as there are many layers to the dress and intricate fabric.
