The Dress
Timeless Ines Di Santo gown with Chantilly lace long sleeves and organza skirt. The skirt is so beautifully light and airy with a full sheet of Chantilly lace underneath the top layer of organza for a stunning effect when the light hits the skirt. The organza skirt is printed with large white flowers that peeks through beautifully in the light. The dress is classic with a touch of modern - I loved that it is unique and "trendy".
I tried on 120+ wedding dresses in 3 cities before falling in love with this dress. I was searching for an ethereal dress with delicate sleeves and a flowing light skirt and this gown blew my expectations out of the water. I styled the dress with a belt, custom hand made hair comb, a Toni Federici cathedral drop veil (willing to sell both separately), pearl earrings, and Manolo Blahnik Hangisi heels.
It was part of Ines Di Santo's spring 2020 collection, so the designer believes it wasn't an available choice for many brides who were postponing/cancelling weddings at the time. I can't find another bride online who has worn it before. It felt incredibly special to wear a gown that felt all my own and unique from the crowd.
If you're looking for a timeless, romantic, royal gown that's easy to wear and comfortable all day - this is a perfect gown for your big day. It was so comfortable and easy to wear - I didn't wear it for the reception (I changed after first dances) so the dress was only worn for a 20 minute ceremony and 1 hour reception time afterwards.
I wore an inexpensive petticoat that I found online on the wedding day because I wanted a fuller skirt, more structured skirt (not included in sale, the petticoat never made it back home from the wedding. You have the option of going with or without depending on your style.
Alterations
Professionally altered by a wedding dress seamstress (hem, sleeves, waist). I added on a detachable belt (easily removed) and I wore a separate petticoat to all volume to the skirt on the wedding day. The sleeves were shortened and an invisible clasp holds the opening of the sleeves tight against your wrist.
The seamstress added an easy to use (pinned up in 1 minute) American bustle for dancing.
