The Dress

I purchased this Platinum for Priscilla of Boston dress at a boutique in La Jolla, CA in spring 2008. It is 100% silk with a beautifully beaded bodice and train. There is tufting in the back with a full ballroom skirt lined with tulle. It has both an interior and exterior zipper and cups in the bodice. It was professionally drycleaned immediately after my wedding and has been stored in a dress bag ever since. It was an outdoor wedding, and I do see some discoloration along the bottom of one side of the skirt (pictured). It may still be treatable. It’s a substantial, heavy, well-made wedding gown. I purchased it for around $12,000.

I will consider any reasonable offers. I went with the estimate given by Still White, but I am very motivated to sell.

Alterations

The dress has no size label that I can see. When I purchased it, I was probably a size 16-18. I lost 50 pounds before my wedding, and the bodice was taken in quite a bit. When measured across, the top of the bodice is about 17.5” and the waist is about 17”.
