The Dress

Purchased this dress in March 2020. Pandemic delayed our wedding a year. The dress is from the Marin Thornburg Amon Cheri Collection in size 16. The dress is ivory/ vanilla-ish in color but if you are in bright lighting it does appear more white. It was perfect for our fall wedding. This dress is soft and comfortable which was a selling point for me. There is a lot of dress here, with layers and a decently long train. I had a bustle added, so it can be out of your way if you choose. The dress has gorgeous lace and beading and sparkles with movement. One thing I really liked about this dress was the lace and beading on the back, it is pretty and sort of looks like a heart. It does have a lace bodice, but did come with a corset (see images) you can put in the dress if you do not want the bodice to be as see-through. This dress was cleaned after the wedding and is in good shape. I took a picture of the bottom of the dress to show how good it still is.
I loved this dress, it is flattering and I had so many compliments. During photos, I was told by a little girl at the zoo that she was so happy to be meeting a 'real-life princess' - yeah that choked me up and threatened my mascara. I want this dress to go on, bring joy to another happy couple on their wedding day and make someone else feel like a real-life princess too!

Alterations

Bustle was added so that the train can be nicely put up and out of the way. Sleeves added to this dress. This dress is originally like a tank top with straps. An applique was added to make the 'V' in the chest less deep. This dress originally has a very deep 'V' in the chest this can be seen on the picture of the invoice. Both of these alterations can be easily be undone by another alterations professional. One thing that is not reversible is the dress length was shortened, I am 5 foot 5 inches tall and the shoes that I wore were 2 inch platform shoes so the dress is tailored to brush the ground for someone 5'7". The dress was taken in a little on the sides along the rib area to about a 35 inch waist. Also to note, the dress is see-through at the top, it is just lace in the bodice portion, however it did come with a matching corset (see image) that can be put inside if you do not want your dress to be see-through in the bodice. The dress came with the corset in a bag and I chose not to add it to the dress because I liked the look without, but it is an option for you and will be included with the dress as well as leftover applique and beads.
