The Dress

Rime Arodaky Lenny + Joan dress. Originally purchased from Mews Bridal, Notting Hill for my 2019 wedding. Worn once only. It was purchased as separates (a dress and over skirt) but during process of alterations (at the renowned dress fitter/alterations specialist ‘Sewn Right’) we decided to achieve the best fit that this should be altered to be a one piece. This gives the illusion of a top and a flowing skirt (but they are joined flawlessly).

Top: Ornate French lace (embroidered tulle) with nude soft bodice underneath (no boning) with boat neckline. Long sleeves, detailed to the wrist. Back is open (round).

Skirt: full length with pleated element and has a slit to mid calf (originally this was to top of thigh but I’ve had it professionally altered to sit slightly lower). The skirt is high waisted (and attached to the top) silk gazar organza with white silk lining. 12 fabric covered buttons at back of skirt.

This dress has modern Kate Middleton vibes. It is from a high quality french designer and originally retailed at over £3000. Alterations were approximately £800. Size is UK 10.

Professionally dry cleaned without obvious flaw.

Alterations

Originally skirt and dress. This has been altered flawlessly to a one piece, lace bodice + skirt. There is a slit on the skirt which is mid thigh.
