The Dress

I loved this dress and I'm just looking to pass it along to a bride that will love it too!

I adore the combination of the romantic tulle skirt with the chic simplicity of the modern crepe bodice. I call the overall look "modern princess" and I think it's absolutely timeless and unique. It's also very comfortable and not at all heavy (though it does take a bit of practice to walk in all those skirts!) I also like the modest neckline which can be hard to find. Pro tip: a little fabric tape on the inside of the bodice helped hold everything in place.

I first purchased the dress at the Jenny Yoo location in Manhattan in summer 2019, and finalized alterations in February 2020, expecting to wear it for our March 2020 wedding. In the end it hung safely in my closet until I was finally able to wear it to our rescheduled date in November 2021! This dress has now been discontinued.

The dress is described as "white" but I find it to a be slightly more off-white/ivory, for example I mistakenly ordered a pure white veil and it definitely wasn't a match.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and has no damage or stains. Belt not included.

Alterations

Alterations included: hemming all 8 layers of the skirt, replacing the white bra cups with nude cups, adding discreet belt loops, and slightly taking in the sleeves. I am 5'3.5" and wore 2.5" heels so this dress should fit well for anyone 5'6" or below in heels.

The waist/torso was not altered and should fit perfectly as a size 8.

Note on the bustle: The seamstress also added buttons and loops for a bustle but unfortunately I do not have pictures of the bustle because my mom/maid of honor didn't practice it in advance and on the wedding day we couldn't figure it out! (I ended up tuckling the skirt up into my belt, so the train did not drag on the ground.) To the buyer, I can send a video of the seamstress demonstrating how the bustle should have worked, and maybe you'll have more luck than we did.
